Blogging Tips #5: Blogging Help

week5_bloggingHelp_group

This week’s topic is where to find blogging help….

Where do you go for help? Free resources for help? Pinterest? A specific blog or experts/coaches? Other Bloggers? Have you ever paid for any online courses? Had a mentor?

This is an area I don’t have tons to share about, before I started the blog I did read the Mom Blogging For Dummies book by Wendy Piersall.  This book holds a wealth of information from steps on how to set up your site, which platform and widgets to use, how to monetize your blog, building your personal brand and overall being a savvier blogger. This was a great resource that certainly helped me take a step in the right direction.

Then when I first began to blog I used to visit the ProBlogger site regularly which is an excellent resource for bloggers wanting to take their blog to the next level.  I’m not sure why but I haven’t really accessed this site much lately.  I also regularly read articles on Independent Fashion Bloggers which always has insightful articles with expert advice for fashion bloggers.

I have not paid for any online courses at this point even though I have seem some of interest.  If you are part of programs such as rewardStyle they offer free seminars to help you with marketing and monetizing your blog.  Although I have yet to take advantage of those I have heard positive things about them.

By far the most important blogging help I receive is from fellow bloggers and I can’t express how thankful I am for my blogger friends and acquaintances who have often stepped up to help me, offer advice, listen to my frustrations about blogging, and be someone to bounce an idea off of.  I want to give a shout out and thanks to a few of the ladies who have many times offered their help and are an amazing source of support: Jill, Vanessa, Gina, Susan, Jeannette, and Marianne. These ladies have all been an inspiration to me and as you go along you also make new connections with bloggers creating such a helpful network of support. It really is an exciting community to be a part of and I have been impressed by the kindness I have been shown by many bloggers and the friendships I have built.

This is a blog-hop so next visit Deena from Shoes To Shiraz for more helpful advice.

It is so important to have people or resources you can turn to for help! Blogging friends have definitely been so important to me too. I also recently paid for an online course and I have to say it was pretty helpful as well!

Glad you’ve got a network of bloggy friends to help you 🙂

I haven’t paid for any courses either but I am in a few groups on faceobok where we share help and advice, it’s great to have that support.

I think the best advice I have received about blogging was from other bloggers as well. I love how supportive everyone is in this community. Great post!

Marta, this is such a sweet post, and thank you for the lovely note! You are an inspiration to me as well, and I am honestly SO glad we connected! I really hope we get to meet someday! I know we will be such great friends! I admire you so much — you’re a mom and doing it all! I love it — and now back to this post: Yes, there are many sites out there that help and give advice. I like Independent Bloggers too, however, I haven’t visited them in a while. Maybe this is a reminder that I should. 🙂 Thank you again for this amazing post — love you to the moon and back!!!

I love my little group of blog friends, too! It is great, especially when I can only talk to the husband so much about my blog… 😉 I read Abby’s book ‘Building a Framework’ and it helped me a lot… I even took notes!

This is really good advice. I don’t really have any blog support and should probably reach out to some bloggers that I connect with to form these relationships.

Thank you for being a part of TBT Fashion link up and hope to see you soon!
