Accessories Fashion Outfit of the Day (OOTD)

Casual, Neutral with a Pop!

Happy Wednesday lovelies!! If you are a regular follower then you probably know that my style is more on the casual side with a bit of glam but who says being a casualista has to be boring! My OOTD look is all about casual, neutral with a pop!! That pop being my statement necklace, initially I wasn’t wearing one and although I love this outfit I thought why not add a fun element.  In comes my bold tribal-inspired necklace that I purchased at Aldo Accessories last summer (I found some great similar ones for you in the collage below).  Since it’s still a neutral tone it compliments the rest of the outfit well.

Everyday Style Tip: If adding a bold piece such as a statement necklace to your outfit stick with subtle elements with your other jewelry or accessories.  You want to avoid having everything compete with each other which can sometimes look overdone.

F21 floral skirt / Old Navy sandals / similar tank (here & here) /  similar purse (here & here) / similar sunnies (here) / similar jean jacket (here) / similar stackable rings (here)

Casual Neutral with Pop 03

This floral skirt and these studded sandals are two of my new favourite pieces this summer.  I’ve been able to get so much use out of them and you’ll see more ways I styled both in upcoming posts.  The skirt is versatile, feminine and comfy-it’s also one of those pieces that can be easily dressed up or down, you can see a more dressy version here.  The sandals are a perfect staple, the neutral beige tone can literally be worn with anything, they are very comfy (yes I really like that word but more so I like feeling comfortable when I dress!) and the studded detail adds a trendy element.  You can find both of these items in the links above.

Some other great tribal-inspired necklaces:

1. Beaded bib / 2. White tassel / 3. Minimalist layered / 4. Gold beaded / 5. Eclectic layered / 6. Multi-chain / 7. Cream pearl / 8. Black tribal / 9. Clustered stone

Are you a statement necklace kinda person?

Totally digging that statement necklace from Aldo! I never think to shop there for accessories but anytime I’m in there for shoes I notice they have quite a few cute things! Love the similar options you showed as well.

Love that skirt, looks great on you! I love it either way too without the jacket or with! I think I need to get some new statement necklaces, I still have bubble necklaces hanging around and I think those are a little out of date now, lol!

Marta, I am in love with your skirt, its print and the length. Gorgeous and WOW from F21. Since you love Midi and Maxi Skirts you’d like the one I wore yesterday. Ohh and the shade of your Denim Jacket is wonderful. I also love the necklace and especially those strappy nude sandals. I need some like those in my closet. =)
