TGIF and hope you all had a great week! I apologize about missing my regular posts this week, things in life became a bit hectic (as per usual for a working parent) and I didn’t have posts ready in time. I did get a chance to enjoy this past weekend as the weather was simply perfect so we spent all of Saturday at Canada’s Wonderland (a local theme park) enjoying the rides and just basking in the sun. Hoping that the weather this weekend will be just as good so we can enjoy more fun outdoor activities, who doesn’t love summertime?!
I’m back today with this super cute asymmetrical striped top that I found at Marshall’s and these grey skinny jeans. It’s no secret that stripes are my go to pattern (always) so it was total love at first site when I spotted this white/navy striped top and the asymmetrical cut gives it that extra touch. I styled this 2 ways one for a casual day look and the other a going out at night look.
For the casual look I added my classic denim jacket, neutral crossbody and flats. Very simple to put together and still chic.
For the night look I added my Rebecca Minkoff saddle bag, block heeled sandals and was good to go. I always love pieces that stand out on their own so I don’t have to over think an outfit or add many accessories. I totally recommend an asymmetrical top for the summer, I have two of them and they have been my go-to tops so far this season. They stand-out and add interest, therefore keeping everything else simple is key and not to mention it makes putting together an outfit effortless. I found all of these cute options in the collage below.
