Happy Wednesday and hope you are having a great week! I’ve been busy with various things going on in my life and that’s why I have only been posting once a week as of late.  I hope to get back to twice a week shortly so stay tuned for more.  Today I’m featuring two of the most prevalent fall styles this season: 70’s boho and minimalist.  I personally love both of these very different aesthetics, being a 70’s baby has always drawn me to that era.  I have been into the whimsical and fun element of boho style for a few years now so I’m excited to see it even more mainstream this season. For a specific definition of 70’s boho chic I found this detailed article which speaks to seventies style and they defined a 70’s boho chic look as such, “…you should opt for everything flowy, billowy, lightweight and maxi. Experimenting with rich prints and patterns, florals, paisley and tie-dye is highly recommended, and when it comes to styling keep things as natural as possible.”  I think this is a perfect definition of this style and these are many of the elements I enjoy about boho.  The only two things I have never worn much of when it comes to a boho inspired look is tie-dye and paisley.  I don’t have any tie-dye pieces and although I like paisley I have not found prints of it I particularly care for in the past while.

The more practical side of me and being in a professional environment at work makes me gravitate towards the simplicity of the minimalist style especially when I need a classic more refined look.  Simply put the main principal of the minimalist style is “less is more”.  I found this fun read about being a Calvin Klein minimalist which helps define someone who exemplifies this aesthetic.  One does not even have to accessorize much when it comes to a minimalist look and this is an advantage and part of the ease of this style.  On a personal level when it comes to my own style I have never really defined it with a specific label as I enjoy all of the different elements of fashion.  I also tend to get bored easily when it comes to clothing so I prefer having variety in my wardrobe.

How about all of you, do you have a specific style you stick to or do you mix it up?

I personally prefer minimalist and I think all those pieces are gorgeous. My favourite has to be the Tory Burch handbag.

I wouldn’t call my style minimalist, though lately I keep buying more basic things tan not. I’d like to think of my style as real and very wearable, in a girly, a little bold and slightly more elegant way. I must say though, now more than ever I am so in love with the Boho Look and I will be definitely trying more this Fall. I love so many of your pieces, Marta.
