My last lifestyle post was back in August so thought I’d share what I’ve been up to as of late. We had amazing weather all of September and October which was nice since our summer was not so great.
On my last lifestyle post I wrote about my excitement for the Coldplay concert and now I have the pictures to share:
It was such an amazing show from the incredible lights display (we all got a light up bracelet), to the infectious energy all around and the beautiful vocals of Chris Martin. One of the things that I thought was really cool is the diversity of the crowd. We saw seniors, little kids with their parents, teens and every age and culture in between. When that music started everyone was connected and danced the night away.
CIRQUE DU SOLEIL:
Just a couple of weeks ago I went to see Cirque’s new touring show Volta. I have written about my love for Cirque so whenever they are in town I make sure to catch the show. This show was entertaining (although not one of my faves) with an entrancing soundtrack as always plus I got to hang out with my sister and nieces which made is even more fun. I wore my mixed material moto jacket, a grey sweater, booties and my bright blue scarf for some colour (I found a similar scarf here).
Stranger Things 2…need I say more!! Hubby and I were dying for it to start and it hasn’t disappointed.
Survivor: Heroes vs Healers vs Hustlers
I used to watch Survivor years ago but then I lost interest and just recently got back into it. For some entertaining downtime after work it does the trick.
Any other recommendations for good shows to watch? How about books? I need to get back into regular reading so please share if you have read anything interesting lately.
Yup it’s ah coming! Not too excited about winter but I do love Christmas season so that keeps me going this time of year. The temperatures drop quickly here in the great white North (aka Canada) so I invest in good winter pieces. I just bought a pair of combat boots and although I was hesitant to get them I haven’t stopped wearing them since. They are comfy, practical for everyday wear, a bit edgy and instantly update your look. I see women wearing them with dresses and I think they look so chic and modern.
I have long been wanting to have my own start-up but never felt inspired enough to dive in to something…until now that is. It’s no secret I have an infatuation with accessories so I’m quite excited to be working on creating an online jewelry shop. Now let me tell you starting any type of small business is no “small” task at all. It’s been a bit overwhelming by how much there is to learn so although I was hoping to launch something for the holiday season it won’t be a go just yet. I’ll keep you all updated as I go along but for now here is a peek of some initial pieces I’ve put together:
I would really love to hear all of your thoughts on these pieces? Which is your favourite? Do you prefer gold or silver jewelry? Do you prefer long or short necklaces? Do you like bright colours or neutrals? (Feel free to comment below or send me an e-mail on my contact page)
The goal is to carry super pretty pieces that stand out but are classic enough to wear for everyday use. My most beloved pieces of jewelry are basic and simple pieces that I can use for work or play. I have been wearing the two silver necklaces literally everyday since I put them together. As you can tell I love the beauty of druzy stones (actually I have a weakness for all types of stones, crystals, etc) so this will be a staple for my collection.
Thanks for stopping by and reading!
