Long Cardigans & Distressed Denim

Very similar top / similar long cardigan / similar distressed denim options / similar heels (here & here) / Tory Burch bag (only in black & ivory)

Happy November friends, hope you have been enjoying the pretty fall weather and all that comes with it although I know winter is right around the corner.  I apologize as I have been seriously MIA as of late when it comes to blogging and social media.  Life has been busy with some ups and downs but the main reason I’ve been away is due to being sick on and off (nothing serious) for over a month.  I’m glad to be back today and will do my best to keep up once a week as usual.

I have been excited to share this look for a while and now that the whether has changed I’m a bit bummed I won’t be able to wear outfits like this until spring.  Fall has always been my fave for fashion, it’s no secret I’m a total “sweater weather” type of girl and a basic long cardigan is a wardrobe essential.  I love this burgundy one and how it’s a nice classic piece to go with the edgier distressed jeans.  As you may have noticed I am so loving all things floral embroidery (see here & here) and this top is just the prettiest.

A long cardigan is the perfect layering piece and one that I use with literally everything whether I’m throwing one on to pick up the girls from school or styling with with a work outfit.  How about you?

My love for distressed denim is still going strong and I don’t see it ending any time soon.  Distressed jeans have proven to be a staple when it comes to the world of denim so no complaints here!

Anywho I put together these similar pieces and other than the footwear everything is under $50:

1. shoulder bag / 2. Babydoll top  / 3. Jessica Simpson sandal / 4. long cardigan / 5. bootie / 6. distressed denim / 7. fine-knit cardigan

I wanted to leave you with my new song obsession by one of my favourite artists (sorry there’s no official video but the song is beautiful on it’s own).  I know we all go through struggles and to me the beauty of music is how it connects people from all walks of life and truly has healing power, so please enjoy:

Thanks for stopping by and reading!

Cute outfit! We’re not getting much fall weather here either, which is such a bummer. Hopefully we will both get a true winter

That is such a cute top!! Perfect with your cardigan. I love the color of it too. A burgundy is one I don’t have, but I feel like it goes with so much.

This is such a beautiful outfit! I love your embroidered top and your burgundy cardigan is perfect with it! I really need a burgundy cardi for next autumn/winter I think! Right now I’m packing all my cardis away as I enjoy spring!

Sorry to hear you’ve been unwell – it can be tough when it gets colder, all the bugs go around! I’m glad you’re feeling better though.

Hope you had a great weekend 🙂 We went to a theme park, a nice way to relax after a stressful sick-filled week! I know how you feel with being sick off and on, get over something just to have something else happen!
