I think I’ve mentioned before that a crossbody purse is my go to style for an everyday bag. They are convenient, comfy to wear and just a practical option. I have had my eye on this Marc Jacobs “New Q Natasha Bag” for quite some time, it’s a classic piece that has been in his collection for years. They sometimes make minor changes to it but overall it stays in the same classic shape with gold hardware detailing. I love that the gold adds a slight touch of glam but it’s still perfect for everyday use. I’m not a fan of wearing items that have large symbols or are monogrammed for the particular designer. I think that’s why Marc Jacobs (and also Kate Spade) has been one of my favourite designer for bags as they have subtle markings on them or a logo plate like mine with very small print. Although I was fortunate to choose this one as part of a past Shopbop sponsorship this is a bag I would have invested on my own in a heartbeat. A quality basic black or neutral leather bag is always something I invest in. After years of buying low end bags I now prefer spending more on a quality one as they will last longer and not as easily wear and tear. The leather on this one is soft but sturdy and it is quite spacious without being too large. You can adjust the length of the crossbody as well to suit your needs. I wore this outfit for dinner and a movie, for me the star of this outfit was definitely the bag.
I searched online for some other quality classic crossbody bags. My previous everyday crossbody was the Kate Spade one I linked to below, I used it for years and it’s still in good condition.
I think I’ll take one of each, I’m particularly smitten with the Coach and Michael Kors options.
