Happy Monday and hope that you all had a wonderful weekend! On Saturday we headed downtown and spent a relaxing day by the lake. Sunday was more low-key with church in the morning and errands in the afternoon. The weather has been super hot this summer but I’m not complaining as I know the cold will hit soon enough and that lasts way too long so I’ll take the heat for as long as I can!
I had a chance to do some shopping this week and it’s a great time to pick up end of summer transitional essentials. The stores are stocked with fall fashion and back-to-school goodies so it was hard not to admire transitional pieces even though I’m not ready to embrace fall just as of yet. I have to admit I’m loving the rich colours that will go perfectly into fall and I choose all of these versatile pieces above (all under $30) not only because they are super cute to wear right now but they will also take you into the new season. These pieces are classic enough to mix and match into your existing wardrobe and don’t get me started on those ankle strap flats (#9) from Old Navy. I went to the store but my size was gone so I’ll be ordering online, I did try them on and they are so chic that they look like a designer shoe. I’m also loving that patterned maxi skirt (#6) and how cute would it be with either the emerald puff blouse (#5), burgundy chiffon top (#3) or the pleated cami (#7)?!
These two dresses (#8 & 11) are pretty and simple, I would love the wedges and gold knotted necklace to pair with either of them. Finally that modern grey shoulder bag and lightweight cardigan are basics easy to pair with anything.
Is transitional shopping on your mind yet? Either way make sure to soak up the sun and enjoy the rest of summer vacation that is left!
Thanks for stopping by and reading!
