Styling Floral Dresses For Winter

Floral dress C/O SheIn /  Fuzzy faux fur jacket C/O SheIn /  OTK boots / similar white jeans / Chloe bag C/O Shopbop (no longer available in black)

I’m fan of floral dresses in the summer but tend to shy away from them in the winter months.  However, when I spotted this adorable floral dress at SheIn I had to have it.  I want to infuse more colour as I easily get stuck in an all black rut so this dress was the change I needed. The lovely light blue with the grey and black florals felt perfect for a winter piece. My favourite way to style a floral dress for winter is with OTK boots and skinny jeans or tights and a warm jacket.

It’s too cold to go out with a dress on it’s own so I added this warm faux-fur jacket or “teddy bear” style jacket.  This style of jacket is on trend and although it was a bit out of my comfort zone I’m glad I went with it.  Plain peacoats and puffer jackets can become redundant and an affordable trendy jacket is perfect to spice things up.  This jacket is ultra soft and the neutral grey tone goes with anything.  Both of these are from SheIn and I’m pleased with the quality and how beautifully they paired together.  The best part is they are both steals under $35!

The jacket I’m wearing is a size small and it has an oversized fit so stay with your usual size.  If you go up a size with this jacket it may be too bulky.  The dress is also a small and although it fits well I would go up a size as the sleeves are a bit short (well at least on me).  These two pieces are great for the parties this time of year and this dress is something I’ll be styling more conservatively for work.

I love this look, Marta! That coat is perfect. With as cold as it is where we live, those jackets can be so warm and cozy.

You can’t go wrong with black no doubt but I agree with you with trying to not always reach for that color. I feel like during the cooler months it’s just so easy to do that. This light blue floral blouse you are wearing is perfect for changing things up and seeing it makes me feel alive already because it is more lively (color and print). Your teddy bear jacket looks so cozy. I love how it pairs well with your outfit.

Oh that tunic is perfect with the white jeans! What a nice print, and I love the tiers on it – I always love a ruffle, no matter how small! 🙂 It’s great you can come up with a couple of different ways to wear it 🙂

Hope you have a wonderful weekend! After a crazy week I’m hoping to do a little bit more for Christmas, getting those last few gifts and doing some more wrapping!
