Dresses are the ultimate wardrobe essential for events and with all the occasions that take place this time of year they are an easy go to. I recently wrote about my brother’s wedding and wanted to share my day and night looks. These are both transitional dresses that will take me into fall.
For the church ceremony I had the honour of doing a reading and wanted something feminine and modest. This gorgeous floral maxi from SheIn definitely fit the bill. When I choose it I wasn’t thinking about the wedding but when it arrived I knew it was perfect. I also love this one, it’s the same style with a different pattern. It’s a stand out piece on it’s own so I went with simple drop earrings. I wore flat rhinestone sandals because I didn’t want to take the chance of tripping as I walked up the stairs to read, tee hee.
For the evening I wanted something bold and when I spotted this blue beauty at no other than H&M I had to try it on. Once I did I fell in love with the cobalt lace, the overall fit, and the back cut-out (sorry as I forgot to take a picture of the back) which made it perfect for a party. I really liked that it was flirty without being too much, the high collar and cap sleeves added an elegant touch.
After trying on many dresses even in higher-end retailers my last two choices came down to this one and a $500 option. So glad I went with this one as it was the fraction of the cost but still made me feel like a million bucks. Doesn’t it feel good when you find such a gem and you didn’t have to break the bank?!
Anywho I wanted to share these affordable day & night picks perfect for transitioning into fall:
