I know many of you living in warmer climates (oh how jealous I am!)have already been sporting pretty bright spring clothing, open toe sandals and heels. We have had no such luck here in Ontario as it’s not feeling quite spring yet. I grew up in Toronto but after getting married my husband and I decided to set our roots north of the city. We love our new neighbourhood and there are so many kid friendly places near by. We do try to get out on date nights as often as we can, mind you with two toddlers it’s sometimes quite a challenge. When we do get a chance we head downtown to different areas of the city to visit some of our favourite restaurants like Little India on Queen Street, or yummy French fare at La Societe in Yorkville.
Anywho, let me get back on track…since our whether has been kind of crazy lately I have not been able to bust out all of my spring clothes. I’m in that transitional stage of dressing which can sometimes be a tricky given the unpredictable whether. I mean it was snowing on Tuesday!! Boo for the snow. Layering is the best way to go in times like these. This here is my very first outfit post with a transitional spring outfit. I have to admit that posting these pics was somewhat cringe worthy. Please remember that I am a total newbie when it comes to blogging and posing for pics, lol. 🙂
The combo of a sweater/cardi, tank and leggings is a staple for me. Its comfortable, effortless and you can add some cute accessories to pull it together. The cardi, tank and booties have been in my closet for a while so I found some similar items for you in the links below. The leggings are from American Eagle Outfitters but are sold out. I like the zipper detail on them as they give a black legging some interest. Both the necklace (sold out in this colour) and purse were recent purchases from Forever 21.
Are you still in the transitional phase? What are your go to pieces for this time of year?
Thanks so much for stopping by and hope we meet again soon.
