Happy summertime everyone, I had last week off and am back to work this week. My girls have daily swimming lessons for two weeks so it was my turn to take them last week. My hubby kindly took off some of this week to help then it’ll be my turn the latter part of the week…life as a parent what can I say. Their lessons are in the morning so we have the rest of the day to enjoy together which is nice.
My younger brother is getting married this week so I’ve been running errands non-stop trying to prepare for it. I finally found a dress after what felt like blood, sweat and tears…it’s cobalt blue lace and has an opening on the back. I’m going with gold accessories because they compliment the blue so well. I’ll be posting some pics on my Instagram if you are curious so follow along if you are not already. For a sneak peek here are the earrings I will be wearing and I also found the perfect clutch (not available online but this one is similar), both are from Charming Charlie.
Now onto today’s trending style, the embroidered floral top. Embroidery really took off this spring and I have been admiring this pretty ruffle trim top since I featured it here. SheIn was kind enough to send this top for review and I am definitely smitten.
I have to say this is one of my very favourite pieces I have received from them. I mean what’s not to like the floral embroidery is perfect, it’s lightweight, has a flowy (and forgiving) fit and the ruffle trim is adorable. It has buttons on the back which makes it easy to put on and also adds a cute touch. I’m wearing a size small and it’s true to size. This top is on point, well-made and also budget-friendly at $20! I tried to think of something critical to say but I have zero complaints about this top. It also comes in white and I like it so much I’m tempted to get that one as well.
I styled it with my cropped distressed denim for a bit of edge and added my taupe wedges and bag. I’ve worn this top with white and blue denim and it seems to go with anything.
I spotted these other pretty embroidered pieces on their site:
