Today it’s all about my J Brand skinny jeans-may seem boring but there’s a bit of a story behind this first pair I purchased. I am a huge lover of jeans, they are the one thing that take up the most space in my closet. I have been eyeing a few different pairs of J Brand jeans for quite a while. However, at regular retail price anywhere between $200-$400 I had to pass. A pair of good quality jeans are a good investment especially when they are a classic but at that price point it was not realistic for me. In comes a random day of shopping at Winners (T.J. Maxx in the US) and my search was over! Don’t you just love when you haphazardly find something you’ve been searching for? When I spotted these J Brand ‘Photo Ready’ jeans I knew they were something I needed to add to my wardrobe both because they are classic and I don’t own grey skinnies. The fit, cut and overall quality is high and they feel so soft and comfortable on. I paid $80 for these-she who shops scores!! Well when it comes to Winners I might say she who shops patiently scores.
I wore this to a casual birthday party and paired the jeans with a light weight ruffle hem tunic, beige wedges and a long necklace. By the way every single item other than the necklace is from Winners;)
Budget-conscious Tip: When purchasing a more pricey piece ensure you don’t already own a similar item and that you can pair it with at least 3 to 4 items you have in your wardrobe.
Winners has been and will always be my go to store-those who know me know that it is a quasi obsession for me! I love to search through the store, love how they have such a vast variety of merchandise and most of all love the awesome prices. Honestly, you can always find hidden gems and by gems I mean anything from DKNY, Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren, Juicy Couture, Levi’s, French Connection, American Eagle all the way to Versace, Gucci, Kate Spade, Valentino the list is endless. There is such a wide price range it’s really hard to go wrong. In fact I found these exact pair of jeans on the net for $240 (see link above)! That has happened to me countless times where I will see the same item I just purchased in Winners in other retail stores or online for much higher. Yes you do need some patience and visiting regularly helps but to me that’s the fun in it-also I can always find unique pieces that not every single person will be wearing. I’m pretty passionate about it not only as it’s my all-time favourite store but also because I love saving money while getting high quality items-I mean who doesn’t?!
